In the most recent chapter of what has been a wild 10 weeks of controversy swirling around matters regarding the Central City Board of Education, a recall effort has been officially organized, aimed at eventually seeking to remove board president Dale Palser, secretary Steve Belitz and longtime board member Kent Malm.
A group calling itself “TIME for CHANGE, TIME to MOVE FORWARD” has filed the affidavit papers with the county clerk’s office for the recall of Palser and Belitz, citing:
* Lack of responsiveness to concerns raised by public and staff.
* Lack of oversight and failure to require accountability from administrators.
* Failure to provide leadership to improve our school.
This move is the first of a two-part plan of action which will also eventually seek the recall of Malm.
