The Central City Police Department is one of dozens of community and local law enforcement agencies that spent the holidays with a little extra attention to the safety of drivers—particularly of young drivers—on Nebraska’s roadways.

“Any holiday is an especially critical time to pay attention on the roads, because so many are having a good time and being a little more careless than they normally might,” says Central City police chief Mark Hogue. “That, and the slick, icy surfaces can cause problems quickly; we would just caution everyone that, along with your holiday fun, you exercise caution as you drive.”
