Saturday, February 17th, beginning at 7:00am, Bader Park will host a winter bird/nature hike through the park. Spending time outdoors, enjoying the sun rise, and taking in the sights and sounds along the trails is the best part of this adventure. Disconnecting, for an hour or two, from the tech world, has many benefits.
This hike is leisurely, last approximately 90 minutes, and will include views of the Platte River, tall grass prairie, wetlands, and cotton wood forest. Bill Whitney of Prairie Plaines Institute in Aurora will be our guide.
The hike is free to anyone that is interested. Meet at the park office, a bit before 7:00am. Binoculars are available, to borrow, if needed.
Following the hike, free refreshments are served at the park office/visitors center. Enjoy hot chocolate, coffee, goodies and the opportunity to visit about the morning.
