LMCH hosts luncheon

Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital and Bryan Health have announced an affiliation that will take place effective July 1.

Litzenberg CEO Tad Hunt believes the agreement is a good deal for the hospital, both short-term and long-term, and discussed the agreement and other topics at a community information luncheon held last Thursday at the Community Room.

The three-year agreement also includes a letter of intent which could lead to a more permanent arrangement between the two health care providers.

“Getting into a partnership affiliation with Bryan is really going to open more opportunities,” Hunt said. “It will bring services to the outpatient arena to assist keeping healthcare local.

“We picked Bryan as our partner of choice because, first of all, we invited them to come help us even when I started a couple of years ago,” Hunt said.

Regardless of the affiliation Litzenberg remains a local hospital.
