Intense cold impacts utility costs


Utility customers around Central City opened their January bills . . . and found an unpleasant surprise: the first month of 2018 brought with it utility costs higher than any seen in recent memory.

Some reports place the cost for heating a residential property at nearly forty percent higher than it was for the month previous; at least one business owner reported that his utility cost for the month was $800, significantly higher than before.
