A couple days ago as I was coming to work, I was reminded of one of the hazards of summers in the country. I saw a bright red pick-up fly through a blind intersection, not hesitating at all. Fortunately, I was far enough away to be in no danger, and no one was coming from the opposite direction. But the corn is definitely tall enough that any cross-traffic could not be seen. When you are driving on country roads, take time to stop at each blind intersection and at the stop signs. It only takes a few extra seconds to make sure there is no traffic coming. Everyone living and working in the country is depending on one another to keep everyone safe.
