Children’s Theatre to present “The Frog Prince” at PAC

Deep in the royal swamp, a selfish Princess makes a promise to befriend a lonely Frog after he retrieves her golden ball from a well.  But what happens when the Princess tries every trick in the book to break her promise?

The local cast of ‘The Frog Prince’ includes Jada McHargue and Nick Lovejoy as the Frog, Ariel Coleman as Ollie the Aspen Tree, as well as Mariah VanLeer as promise-breaker Princess Prim.  Her sisters Princess Proper and Princess Peppy are played by Lindsey Sawyers and Faith Carroll.  Andy Curfman, Jade Erickson, Graci McGinnis, Jackson McGinnis, Carl Mundt, Brady Sheets, Taylor Sheets, and Madalyn Warnock play the roles of bumbling Knights, Jared Gallion is featured as Bert the Alligator and Megan Blomstedt, Addie Buhlke, Ella Buhlke, Grant Brooks, Abbie Curfman, Alex Curfman, Neleah Ediger, Crystal Erickson, Brandon Fye, Olivia Kvols, Dyson Kunz, Eric Lenz, Katy Lovejoy, Logan Reeves, and Fallon Wells make up the slimy, yet kindly, Swamp Things.  The flashy Flamingos are Olivia Brummet, Sophie Cline, Sidney McHargue, Shelby McHargue, Kortney Hamer, Kelsey Mersch, Kylie Mersch, and Marlie Mundt and Molly Blanchard, Tyler Carroll, Brielle Hamer, Brianna Mundorf, and Christian Strobel lead the way as the Ducks. Cole Kunz as the busy Fly, tries to make a quick escape from the nasty Venus Fly Traps, played by Katelynn Blomstedt, Caleigh Botsch, Kit Brooks, MaKenna Carlson, Bryce Kunz, Isabella Kvols, Lillyauna Longoria, Sarah Musil, Josie Sawyers, Emma Schuele, Emma Steinke, and Mikayla Zeller.  Julieanne Gallion and Stephanie Strobel will serve as Assistant Directors all week.

THE FROG PRINCE will be presented on Saturday, July 13 at 3:00pm and 6:00pm at the Performing Arts Center, Edwin and Bernice Lock Theater. Tickets are $7 and are available at the Merrick Foundation office and at the door one hour prior to curtain.
