With football season right around the corner, it’s time for those athletes to get in shape.
The Central City Football program will be hosting its Central City Football Camp July 22-25, and is open for kids between fourth and eighth grade. It will be held at the Central City High School practice facility.
The camp is aimed to help young athletes learn the basic skill and techniques needed to succeed in the game of football. Fundamentals such as proper stance, blocking techniques, tackling (not live) as well as the offensive and defensive positions will be taught in an atmosphere that will enhance the confidence to succeed on the field in all participants.
The grades 7-12 coaching staff will highlight on certain key areas during the camp. There will be personalized instruction, competitions, weight lifting demonstrations, motivational speakers, lessons on sportsmanship, leadership and character, as well as Gatorade being served during every break and a camp t-shirt handed out to all those who participate.
