A team that was a fife player short of looking like the bunch that came back from Valley Forge, the High Plains Community football team saw its 2015 season come to an end last Wednesday, losing to unbeaten Creighton 72-32.

With the loss High Plains finishes the season 8-3, having reached the playoff quarterfinal round for the third time in the last five years.

Down to its third quarterback and its star running back hampered to a separated shoulder which limited him to only six carries for three yards, the Storm was overwhelmed by a strong, fast and physical Creighton team which rushed for 567 yards on the night.
